Barter-Based Promo Help (By Vibe, Not by Hire)
This isn’t a business offer — just something I still do now and then when a project feels right.
I’ve spent 25+ years doing web design, branding, poster campaigns, and marketing — from working with Nomadic Interactive to helping hundreds of small businesses and artists across Canada. These days, I only take things on if they’re fun, local, or come with good energy (and maybe a ticket, meal, or something interesting in return).
Sometimes I’ll help with:
- Poster runs (I know the tucked-away boards at cafés, stores, and ferry stops)
- I have a local email list I send out newsletters under various endeavours, most currently Shophouse Events.
- Promo to off-Facebook folks north and south of town
- Quick feedback on websites or design ideas
- Boosting niche events in smaller FB groups (like islanders, lake cabin owners, travelers)
- Short-form social media videos or campaign advice
I’ve got references if you need ’em — and in most cases, the extra eyes and energy I bring in are worth more than the trade.
